Back on the HitTail trail
June 8th 2007 08:29
As I've said previously, I've finally resolved what was wrong with my HitTail account. Thank goodness, because I found it a good source of material for more posts, and have felt a bit bereft when I couldn't access it.
Doogle the Dog has made it to the list, which is interesting. I can't quite imagine who'd be searching Google for him, but there you go. My site comes up first and second on this one. Thanks, Doogle!
One eye over [the] shoulder was next on the list. An odd phrase to go looking for, you'd think. However, it's interesting that this one follows the suggestion Mike Levin (of HitTail) recommends: that key words be included both in the title of the post and the content. It was purely by accident that this occurred, so I can't really take any credit for it.
Kiri te Kanawa is next on the list - and Simon O'Neill also appears. These opera singers are worth including in the blog, obviously!
Not surprisingly, David Bain and the police make an appearance. In fact, the searcher looked for 'David Bain house police family' and managed to pick up almost every word in my post.
The intriguing holiday spot, Couples Sans Souci, got a look in, though not in my original post, but in my ode to HitTail. And yet again my nonsense piece on athlete's fingers got a hit. How odd that such a little insignificant post should make it.
Finally, when I check out the report for my travel blog, the results come up with one or other of my blogs all taking the top places, and a couple of results, rather surprisingly, from Widgetbox.com. I'm not sure how that one happens, but let's not knock it!
