Welcome to Webitz

Firstly, welcome to this new blog, which doesn't replace my other one at Orble, just adds to the amount of work I need to do each day...!
No doubt everyone has heard of the word, widget, usually meaning something that isn't of much importance, or is made in quantity, or doesn't already have a particular name.
Yesterday, however, via the website, Triond, which publishes quite a lot of articles I've written, I discovered a new form of Widget. In fact it's been around for some time, but I just hadn't ever come across it.
Triond's Widget shows up on my other blog and lists all the articles I've got on Triond, and you can click on anyone of them.
But this is only a new form of the Widget scene: go to their site and you'll find umpteen different kinds that you can put on your blog: games, jokes, sayings, tricky things - widgets, in fact! I rather fancy using the Ugly Person of the Day widget, but I think people would get sick of seeing me pop up every few minutes...
The other interesting side of the Widget scene is that you can create your own widgets and submit them to the Widgetbox site. Being totally inept at such things, I'll have to suggest to my geek of a son that he should make one. He'd take up the challenge at the drop of a hat!
